What does my license include?

Purchasing a license removes all "powered by" branding, minus the logo for Opus Php, which you can change easily yourself. It includes lifetime use of the opus software application purchased along with updates or patches produced by Opus for a single domain ( subdomain, .com, .net, .org, etc.) of your choice. You are also allowed full rebranding rights to use your logos or branding instead of our Opus Php Logo's.
In fact, we would prefer you did and enjoy seeing how you make OpusPhp your own : )

Where do I find documentation for Opus?

Full Documentation is available for all valid clients through the Client Area, to access it just login with the link in the top right of the site.

What else might I have to buy to support Opus?

Nothing! Opus is the complete package to launch any social networking website or any basic website to which you can add the social networking features at a later date. You will need a hosting provider to run your Opus PHP website, hosting providers can range from dedicated to shared environments, as long as your shared host provides root access you shouldn't have any troubles. These types of environments can run anywhere from 15 - 1000+ dollars a month. Video sharing and uploading requires your host's servers support ffmpeg which called be installed from our Support Area.

Is the source code encrypted?

No. The Opus Source Code is completely unencrypted, allowing you full rights to view and customize as you see fit.

Can Opus be used with other languages?

Yes , and a big yes we'd like to think : ) Opus comes with more then 7 languages built in and has the capabilities for you to add as many as you need. Languages will also change on the fly (provided by Google™) so English blogs become Chinese and vise versa! It's really a must see! All of the language packs are also extendable so you can add or remove as you see fit.

How many users can Opus support?

The configuration and table structures are streamlined and designed for expansion. We know how terrible it would be if your website became a victim of its own success, so you can put those fears to rest by relying on Opus. Opus has been tested on fairly small server's/setup's with over 1 million data rich users and seen little to no change with performance and response times. Keep in mind though, when you take on a million or more users you should be running more then one server just for the sake of concurrent users (constant user requests). It would be hard to support that many lively people in any economic environment due to one of many things from bandwidth to just apache not being able to handle all of the requests coming in.


Payment, Financial and Purchase Questions


What about refunds or returns?

Even though we are sure you will never want to return opus , we have options available by contacting us and returning all of the source code including removing it from your computers, servers , and or destroying any backup of the application you may have made. All records are saved for every client so in case of a refund the license you have becomes void and is placed in a "static state" with your information remaining attached to it, in the case you decide to come back we may reissue the same license to you. Refunds are issued as soon as both parties have become aware and settled on said requirements.

After my purchase how will I receive my download?

Within 24 hours of your payment transaction being processed and completed by our accounts receivable department you will receive your Opus php invoice by email to the email address you provided during the client signup process. We will also add the link to your individual "Client Login" page on http://www.opusphp.com within 24 hours of purchase. (times will range from a few minutes to a few days depending on the form of payment used)

Can I send a check or money order to purchase a Opus License?

No, Not currently. Our preferred method of payment is debit / credit card because it is secure, safe, quick, and convenient.

Will my customer information and email be kept private?

Absolutely! We're strong believers in keeping our customers information completely secure and private at all times.

Is there an annual fee?

No! This is what sets Opus apart from the others. Once you buy your license it's yours to keep as long as you want it with no inconvenient extra annual fees.

Do I have to pay for future updates and upgrades?

No. Unless we release a different application from Opus PHP CMS (Cheetah) you will get every update and upgrade to your version completely free. We believe in our product and care about our clients, so we wouldn't have it any other way.

Do I need more then one License if I am installing Opus on different subdomains/domains?

Yes, but we do offer multiple site discounts. After you purchase your first license at the advertised base rate, we offer a multiple license discount which varies depending on the amount of additional licenses need. To see the available "multiple license discounts" we offer, just login into the client area and proceed to the "products area".


Plugins, Modifications and Installation Questions


How long does it take for me to get my software?

Immediately after payment confirmation you will be sent a link to download the latest version of the Opus application.

How long does installation take?

Although we've never seen installations take longer then 60 minutes, we cannot guarantee an exact time frame time since it varies depending on each individuals knowledge of installing applications and familiarity of the internet. The installation process is as easy as 1, 2, 3 it's intuitive and user friendly.

How can I add other plugins or mods?

You can add a wide variety of plugins offered in the client area for purchase that will come with easy to install instructions (most just upload and you are done), you can also write your own plugins anytime you feel like it , there are intructions on how to do so in the client area under "documentation".

Can I customize Opus?

That's what it was designed for! The code is simple and organized intuitively throughout the site so that even novices can start customizing the layout and design immediately. Don't like the colors in the basic copy? No Problem, simply change a few color codes in the css and you instantly have a new look for your site. Box colors, borders, and more can easily be altered and replaced. You may also write or purchase modifications to expand the features of your site. Other social networking packages have been difficult to modify without conflicting with the existing features and designs, but Opus has been written with all of these issues in mind, making it the most easily extendable package yet.

What if I want to use Opus on more than one domain?

Thats great and we love to hear about people truly finding a connection with our application. We offer multiple site discounts after the first license the price drops depending on the total number of licenses you have. To see the dicoutns available just login into the client area and proceed to the "products area".

Why do you guarantee the Mods/Plugins on your site and not the ones on the internet?

Since our goal is to make Opus php as secure, optimized, and "hardened" as possible. We only offer or recommend secure mods/plugins that have been thoroughly tested and approved by our development team to be safe and secure for your Opus PHP website. With that in mind, when you purchase or create a mod/plugin that has not been approved or tested by our development team we cannot guarantee your sites stability since the site was modified to support an outside application. If you would like to see the mods/plugins we "Approve" then just visit the "products" section inside your client area. If you would like to see a mod/plugin we do not carry in the products section, you or the developer may submit one in the client product area at anytime. If you would like to suggest a mod/plugin for Opus PHP to develop, please do so in the client forums area.

Do you offer support on sites that have "Non-Approved" Modules/Plugins?

No. We do not offer any form of support for sites using "Non Approved" modules/plugins installed on them. Since our goal is to make Opus PHP as secure, optimized, and "hardened" as possible. We only offer or recommend secure mods/plugins that have been thoroughly tested and approved by our development team to be safe and secure for your Opus PHP website. With that in mind, when you purchase or create a mod/plugin that has not been approved or tested by our development team we cannot guarantee your sites stability since the site was modified to support an outside application. If you would like to see the mods/plugins we "Approve" then just visit the "products" section inside your client area.

Do I have to buy Mods/Plugins now or can I come back at a later date?

You can buy mods/plugins at anytime! Just login to your "client area" and go to the products page and you can find items to purchase from Opus PHP or other developers.


Branding and Logo Questions


Will I have a "Powered by" branding on my site?

Support and Development Questions


Does Opus php do Professional installs?

Professional installation is available for those who require it. After or during your purchase of the Opus license just visit the "Products" section of your client area to view the prices of our Professional install package. There you will see what's included in the Professional install package and have the option to purchase it after or during your Opus license purchase.

Can I purchase the Professional install package even though I bought Opus weeks ago?

Of course you can! You can purchase Professional installation anytime!

Do you offer Custom Development or Design for my Opus site?
